The workshop entailed a discussion forum on participating universities’ strategy in relation to the adoption of cloud computing, maturity regarding cost analysis and cloud risks. AWS and AZURE provided talks on cloud services and customer support. MOQdigital shared experiences with the group regarding the deployment and integration of cloud services with customer systems.
The group accepted the NIST definition to characterize cloud computing services. Common difficulties and issues were debated.
The successful workshop led to participants recognising collaboration between the QUDIT member organisations would be beneficial. A secure space for collaboration, capturing of opportunities and sharing of information about the cloud have been generated for the group.
