CAUDIT and QUDIT unite to deliver new ICT conference: Stronger Together 2026
CAUDIT (Council of Australasian University Directors of Information Technology) and QUDIT (Queensland University Directors of Information Technology) have joined forces to deliver a new event for ICT professionals in higher education and research: Stronger Together 2026. Taking place from 20–22 July 2026 at the Sofitel Brisbane, Stronger Together will combine two of the sector’s leading ICT gatherings, the QUESTnet Conference and the CAUDIT Communities Conference, into one powerful event experience.
“Universities are navigating significant financial and technological challenges,” said Greg Sawyer, CEO, CAUDIT. “By pooling our expertise and resources, CAUDIT and QUDIT are not only reducing duplication and costs, but creating a richer, more impactful opportunity for the sector’s practitioners to learn, connect, and collaborate.”
The event will bring together practitioners and technical specialists from CAUDIT and QUDIT’s Communities of Practice, representing key ICT disciplines including cybersecurity, architecture, data management, project delivery, and digital strategy, and many more.
Across three days, participants will have the flexibility to curate their own experience through concurrent streams dedicated to CAUDIT Communities and QUESTnet, complemented by shared keynotes and plenary sessions. This structure allows attendees to engage deeply with discipline-specific learning while also contributing to sector-wide conversations that drive innovation and collective progress.
Attendees will include ICT leaders and executives as well as technical specialists across the full spectrum of university technology functions.
“Stronger Together is more than a conference; it’s a statement about the power of collaboration,” said Kathy Wheeler, General Manager, QUDIT. “By working together, we can amplify the impact of every dollar spent, every idea shared, and every connection made.”
Sponsorship opportunities and program details will be released in the coming weeks.
